Isolat kemudian dikarakterisasi melalui pengecatan Gram uji biokimia. Ditemukan sebanyak empat yaitu LH1, LH2, LH3 LH4. LH2 menunjukkan aktivitas katalitik paling baik rerata diameter sebesar 25,5 mm setelah inkubasi 48 jam suhu 37oC. negatif berbentuk batang rantai pendek, bersifat motil aerob. Bakteri mampu memanfaatkan beberapa jenis gula seperti arabinosa, sukrosa, maltosa, manitol, mengoksidasi asam amino triptofan serta mengubah urea menjadi amonia. Hasil penelitian memberikan informasi bahwa, berkontribusi dekomposisi. Selain itu, juga berpotensi patogen.

Laboratory Colonization of the Blow Flies, Chrysomya megacephala (Diptera: Calliphoridae) and Chrysomya rufifacies (Diptera: Calliphoridae).

Chrysomya megacephala (F.) and Chrysomya rufifacies (Macquart) were colonized so that larval growth rates could be compared. Colonies were also established to provide insight into the protein needs of adult C. rufifacies and developmental rates of the ensuing larvae. The C. megacephala and C. rufifacies laboratory colonies were reared for five and six generations, respectively, at 28°C. C. mega...

[Parasitoids of Chrysomya megacephala (Fabricius) collected in Itumbiara, Goias, Brazil].

This study determined the species of parasitoids associated with Chrysomya megacephala, collected on bovine kidney baits, in Itumbiara, State of Goias, Brazil. The pupae were obtained by flotation. They were individually placed in gelatin capsules until the emergence of the adult flies or their parasitoids. The overall prevalence of parasitism was 18.6%. Brachymeria podagrica, Nasonia vitripenn...
